Water is a universal symbol of love, peace, power, and renewal. Humans are comprised of
60% to 70% water. By learning about water we learn much about ourselves.
Blending old and new traditions, Imakhu, initiated African Water Priestess, teaches self-love
through lively, flowing Nu Afrakan contemporary water dances. Learn how to work with your
body flow, connect as a community, and create beauty working as a collective. Have fun, heal
your spirit, feel good, flow! No previous dance experience necessary.
The Nu Afrakan Water Dances are a celebration of life, as well as dedicated to the ancient
water spirits of the African diaspora (African, Caribbean, African American culture).
